Sponsor 20 Percent Berlin
What is 20 Percent Berlin?
20 Percent Berlin is a twice-weekly English newsletter for Berlin. Every Tuesday and Friday, we send out a curated, witty summary of the most important political, business and cultural news plus selected culture/entertainment tips. Every edition ends with an interesting factoid about the German capital.
20 Percent Berlin was founded in August 2021 and is written by veteran journalists Andrew Bulkeley (Berliner Zeitung, Bloomberg, FT Marketwatch, a popular stand-up comedian) and Maurice Frank (Deutsche Welle, Berliner Zeitung, co-founder Exberliner)
It’s free to subscribe. Readers can support us on Patreon.
We’re also financed by sponsors. Businesses and event organisers can book an exclusive sponsorship placement at the end of each newsletter. Click here for an example (stroll down to the end of the newsletter).
A growing audience
20 Percent Berlin is named after the 20 percent of Berliners without a German passport or about 800,000 people, many of whom speak English. In February 2023 we had >6,000 subscribers. Thanks to shares, each edition is read by at least 7,000 people. Our readership is growing by about 4-5 percent per month.
