I actually live within walking distance of Schmetterlingshorst Sports and Education Centre, and my experience is that the booming techno beats are every weekend. (Or at least every weekend in which the weather is conducive to outdoor partying.)
There's also the problem that on the weekends there are often endless rental boats cruising up and down the river, who are also blasting music.
Schmetterlingshorst is in a large wooded area with hiking trails. The block rocken beats detract a bit from the peacefulness of nature.
I'm glad killing cyclists gets some court attention, but I think the taxi driver not the passenger is to blame. Taxi drivers are constantly parking in such a way that normal use of the taxi winds up aggressively blocking bike lanes with clueless tourist no doubt with no experience of cities with real bike transport. The drivers are the paid professionals with a duty to the city.
I'm also glad that people who own dogs are buying multiple dogs instead of leaving a highly social animal in solitary confinement for hours at a time.
Absolutely, and further, they should be required to be far enough over in their own lane that they do not block the cycle lane even when the door is open. Or better yet, they should only let people out when they have pulled in well away from any cycle lane.
That's what I meant about "aggressive parking," it really looks like they deliberately put their passengers and their luggage into cycle ways, while putting their car technically in the legal position JUST outside the cycleway.
as a dog owner, I'm infinitely annoyed by dog owners that don't pick up their shit. It's literally the shittest thing dog owners do. And dogs, can generally live in any size apartment as long as that dog gets adequate exercise. Many owners fail to achieve 'adequate'.
This weekend a coked up (I presume) American threatened to beat me up after my wife asked him to clean up after his dog. If you know an approx. 40-year-old tech bro in Prenzlauer Berg with a beard and no German skills, LMK!

Absolutely agree on the taxi driver. They should be required to alert passengers to the dangers of getting out of the car in a cycle lane.

Never show fear!

Was he wearing white Stan Smiths?
Does your suspect have a small yellow dog? I have his pic.
Sorry, I was just imagining the type.
