Regarding the abandoned mattresses: have you tried reporting it using the Ordnungsamt app? They usually remove things within a few days. Added bonus is that you’re becoming part of the statistic that drives digitalisation in Berlin.
I second this suggestion! I've used the Ordnungsamt app to successfully report big trash on the street in my neighborhood. It's pretty easy. You can attach a photo and a pin on a map, and they forward your report to BSR. BSR then might take a while to clean it up, but they will eventually.
