if you look in the on line reviews in google maps, one of those bars actually says it's a good place to meet people on the right, and ordinary berliners, not those crazy vegans. there are other bars in the area with lots of stickers against the afd and for inclusion in their basement toilet areas. it's interesting that these grassroot conflicts in values are run pub by pub, though I guess it shouldn't be surprising. Leaders make easier news or history, but regular people matter.
As someone living in Prenzlauerberg, I'd love to know which bar the thugs who allegedly did the racist attack got arrested in.

I can't find it now but the perpetrators also argued about it with other people from the neighborhood online. It was pretty wild.
